Should any schools in Georgia be allowed to discipline students by restraining them or placing them in seclusion? A group of people at a forum today at UGA say the practice should not be allowed without regulation. An incident in Hall county is the case that was the centerpiece of Monday's forum.
Six years ago, thirteen-year-old Jonathan King, a student at a special education school in Hall County, hung himself with a rope after his teacher left him in a seclusion room for hours.
Jonathan's parents say this never would have happened had they known something was going on.
