Nick Von Harz does not look very threatening at home, curled up on a sofa and clutching his stuffed bear.
But suddenly, his shy demeanor can erupt into explosive tantrums. Nick has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism. Teachers at Hollenbeck Middle School have responded by repeatedly putting the sixth-grader in a small, padded room.
