As reports hit the airwaves, parents in the Francis Howell School District grimaced. A federally funded Missouri advocacy service said it was investigating reports by two mothers that their disabled children were repeatedly placed in padded “seclusion” rooms in the Francis Howell School District.
Through the investigation, the group hopes to put pressure on Francis Howell and other districts to learn appropriate ways of restraint of children with disabilities.
